Blue Meeple Billy started at Simone Spielt in Aidlingen and most recently visited Nuremberg. She has now reached its eighth station in Neanderstadt Mettmann. By the way, the details of the campaign are available in PDF. But now have fun with questions about family and board games!
What was the first game you bought yourself?
I come from a family that has always had a lot of games and the game fair in Essen was a fixed date in the diary from an early stage. This means that I play a lot of early games at home and can’t really remember when I got my first game. What I can remember though is when I first went to the Mage Store in Düsseldorf in 1996 and bought my first set of Magic The Gathering cards. This started a long passion that is now slowly coming to an end.
If you were stranded on a deserted island, what would you take with you?
Makes sense: solo play on Friday!
How many board games do you have? Where and how do you store them?
I currently have about 100 games in my game room. There is a high turnover and around 60-70 games in the garage are waiting in boxes to be sold.
How much time do you spend on your blog, work or hobby?
Work would be nice, but it’s definitely a hobby! First there was my movie blog Sneakfilm – Kino mal anders, which has been around for 14 years, then my amusement park blog Parkwelten and this blog here. The best way to say blogging is a hobby for me is that sometimes there are stages where there is almost no content, which I cannot afford as a professional blogger.
What kind of players do you dislike?
Players who consciously try to cheat in order to gain such an advantage will not leave at all.
Have you seen or received any other roaming meeps yet?
Unfortunately not. I learned about the campaign for the first time through ingots and I would be really happy if other traveler meeples come along.
What are your goals and aspirations for the next 2 years?
As I am about to become a father, my wishes and goals for now, and certainly for the next two years, are to be able to take on the role of father and see a wonderful son grow up.
Where will Blue Billy go next?
Von Mettmann sends Billy further north to Itzehoe and hopes from The Home of Horn that Tom can take Billy in.
UPDATE: Unfortunately, Tom hasn’t been able to send Billy yet. I collected it once and brought it to Griffonclaw!
UPDATE: Itzehoe was instead the nearby Heiligenhaus.
